A great example is our recently re-engineered ClickFit End Clamps (part number 2099039) and ClickFit End Caps (part number 2012029). No huge changes here – just a few upgrades that are needed to make your time on the roof easier, faster, and smarter than it’s been before.
So, what are these upgrades and how do they help you?
Let’s start with the ClickFit End Clamp
Designed to be used with PV modules varying in height from 30MM to 40MM, the ClickFit End Clamp replaces a handful of our current module-specific sized end clamps, including 30MM, 32MM, 35MM, 38MM, and 40MM. Now, ONE part now accommodates all these module heights, which makes much more sense for obvious reasons.
The End Clamp also features integrated bonding and “clicks” onto the ClickFit Rails and offers compatibility with our solution for mounting solar on Trapezoidal/R-Panel roofs: The rail-less RibFit System.
Another change, which is actually just as much of an important change as the ClickFit End Clamp, is the re-engineered ClickFit End Cap.
The End Cap covers the aluminum-finish rail end, for a clean, finished aesthetic. And until now, our UL label was adhered to the ClickFit End Cap, making it a required component within the ClickFit System parts list. No longer there, this means the End Cap can be installed independently from the End Clamp and is no longer a required component (although most customers opt for it, as it provides a complete, finished aesthetic.
As part of the ClickFit System, these parts are used when you’re installing ClickFit on tile,
composition shingle with the GF-1 metal flashing
or integrated flashing using our new ClickFit Smart Foot with UltraGrip Technology™,
and standing seam metal roofing using our SimpleBlock-U clamp-to-seam solution.
