Prying up shingle courses to install metal flashings is a thing of the past, thanks to Smart Foot’s unique design with integrated UltraGrip Technology™.
The installers we’ve been working with love the fact that there are multiple opportunities to find the rafter, avoiding frustration and making it faster than ever to install the ClickFit System. We’ve also considered those times you work on a roof with unlevel architectural shingles. With Smart Foot, you don’t need to worry about having any shims or other extra materials on hand to help level shingles.

The foot itself is fabricated from rugged cast aluminum and as mentioned earlier, features EcoFasten’s proprietary UltraGrip Technology. Since this technology utilizes flexible foam in place of metal flashings, the foam pushes a very sticky proprietary roofer’s sealant, embedding it into the granules on the surface of the shingles. Once fastened to the roof, a strong watertight compression seal is formed.
Because of the flexible foam sealing pad on the underside of the foot, ClickFit Smart Foot can be deck-mounted in most cases, without the need to use a roofer’s sealant.
The foot arrives pre-packaged with a ClickFit “Clicker”, features a built-in alignment guide, and provides compatibility with ALL composition shingle roofs – even wet ones, thanks to the double-sided release liner that protects the sealant.
The unique properties of UltraGrip Technology also provide absorption of building movement caused by thermal expansion and contraction, ensuring a reliable installation that will stand the test of time. And in Florida, the permitting process is faster and easier since Smart Foot is Florida Product Approved.
